The entire reduction of the human body mass can either be caused by dehydration which is loss of fluid or it could be loss of fat, some connective tissues which is generally referred to as weight loss. Weight loss can happen intentionally which is the conscious effort of the person involved to shed some extra fat or unintentionally which is usually as a result of any underlying disease.

You are losing weight right now, it's either you know why and how this is happening to your body or you don't. Well, if you are interested in finding out why and how this is happening to you, then you might want to read on because you will definitely find out.

Whether you know it or not there is always a reason for weight loss and the interesting part is that they are in two categories such as:
  1. Unintentional
  2. Intentional
These categories I just mentioned have other elements they function with which of course is why they are referred to as categories. So, let's start with the very first one I mentioned above.

UNINTENTIONAL WEIGHT LOSS

This is a situation where you lose weight without any physical effort, it is obviously not voluntary, which is to say that the person did not try to cut down on their size by dieting, exercising or engaging in any form of behaviour that could trigger a drop in size. This in other words means that unintentional weight loss is triggered by several other unfortunate things that should never happen but some how happen. These things are Starvation, Severe Illness, Gastrointestinal Disorders and Undue Stress. Lets start with the very first one I mentioned.

1. Starvation

Starvation is simply a state of extreme hunger where one either abstain from food willingly (which is rare), which automatically deprives the body of essential nutrients for an unusually long time or when your body is starved as a result of lack of food which mostly happens as a result of poverty. In any of these situations you are most likely going to drop in size.

2.Severe Illness

If you are suffering from any severe illness such as HIV/Aids, fibroid, colon cancer, diabetes, or overactive thyroid, you are bound to lose some weight in the process without even needing to do anything at all to make it happen. Poor management of some sickness like type 1 diabetes mellitus are potential or better still the major cause of one shedding some extra pounds of fat for those who don't know.

3.Gastrointestinal Disorders

This is by far one of the most common causes of body mass reduction as experienced by a lot of people nowadays, diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcer, celiac disease, gastritis are all types of gastrointestinal disorders that can lead you to an extreme weight loss journey that would definitely sexy when seen.

4.Undue Stress

A lot of people have gotten so used with experiencing stress on a daily basis that they don't know how much it can actually make them lose weight without realising it. Over-working the body can cause your body to actually use up stored fats as energy which of course reduces your body mass over a given time space. This simple element is like a slow crawly. Unchecked early enough, it could cause a lot of damage to the body.

INTENTIONAL WEIGHT LOSS

You can also refer to this as a conscious effort undergone by an individual to lose weight. It happens when a person decides to shed unwanted fat in order to maintain a lean body or for any other reason best known to that person. Fats that are burned this way are often very common among many people this days. A lot of people are starting to realise the importance of staying fit for optimal health and also to look their best at every point in time most especially when the word sexy is in high consideration. If you want to intentionally and successfully lose weight, here are some important things you will need to do. This is not something you can avoid as every professional will tell you the same. It might be in different words, but they all end up saying the same thing when you look at it closely.

1.Dieting

Yes, dieting still works most especially when you do it the right way. and yes, there is the right way to diet and there is also the wrong way to diet. Some people try dieting in a particular way but fail to achieve their desired result so they give up and spread the news of their result instead of their process. If you want to diet and get the best from it you have to follow the right approach by incorporating fat burning foods into your daily meal consumption. A good weight loss diet will include foods that are either low in calories like nuts, salmon, beans, and so on or foods that contain healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids.

2.Exercise

To actually lose weight intentionally by exercising one has to start out with specific exercises that rev up your metabolism. There are some exercises that you can do right away that will jumpstart your fat burning process, exercises like running, swimming, running on a tread mill, crunches, sit-up and many others. You want to ensure that you don' box yourself in with just a few exercises as there are numerous kinds of exercises that have been developed to help you lose weight and the beautiful thing is you don' have to be bored doing some of them. so figure out which exercise works for you best and start to do them to start losing weight consciously or intentionally.

From the look of things we have more people losing weight consciously as the level of obese people have skyrocketed in our communities. If you are overweight and need to start losing weight, then you have to do it consciously which is the best thing that can happen to you because it would mean that you are taking control of your life. To successfully cut down on that extra fat you are carrying around you might want to watch what you eat and of course get your body moving.
